The Red House believes deeply in the power of community and collaboration.
This workshop is open to cultivators, supply chain operators, retailers, and professional service providers. The goal is to tackle difficult topics together by sharing tools, resources, and inspiration.
Join Scarlett, Rachel, and a series of specialized guest speakers to dig into the essential elements of running a successful cannabis business. We will meet monthly on 3rd Thursdays in small group sessions to receive personalized support and connect with like-minded individuals.

February 20th • Taxes & Accounting with Wayne Dziedzic, CPA
Wayne has decades of public accounting experience and a deep knowledge of the challenges of today’s cannabis marketplace and all the burdensome tax responsibilities that come with it. This session will launch you on your pathway to successfully filing for 2019 and planning for 2020, with tricks, tips, and plenty of time for Q&A.

Learn some tried and true tools that bring ease to budgeting, find new opportunities in good forecasting and join conversations about raising ethical capital to grow your business. April 16th • Vision, Long View, & Regulations with Tracy Huston & BoxPower
Maintaining a clear vision in such a hazy industry can be challenging, but when we turn to our deepest values and strive to lead by example truly anything is possible. A series of simple exercises will bring us back to the core of why and how we do business. This session will draw on everything from yogic wisdom for leadership to a deep dive into the latest state-wide cannabis policies and how to leverage the law to meet the vision and goals of your business.
May 21st • Branding & Identity with Origins Council
Regardless of where you stand in the industry, a brand commitment statement is vital for staying true to your vision. This workshop will discuss the spectrum of branding, from our personal brands to Mendocino County’s identity as a historic cultivation region. Join members of the Origins Council for an in-depth look at the future of Mendocino; as a source of internationally renowned cannabis and a prime destination for cannabis tourists, globally.

A strong vision and a well developed brand identity are critical to our long term success in business, but how do we share our message with the world? Learn about both standard and unexpected marketing channels, discuss messaging and best practices, and discover a strategy that supports your business goals.
October 15th •Sales & Distribution with Mackenzie Shultz and Scarlett Trillia
After a break for the growing months we will reconvene at harvest time to celebrate the fruits of our labors and discuss up-to-the minute trends and challenges in the sales and distribution realm. Mackenzie Schults is the operations manager of a cannabis farm and the owner of an established independent spirits imports company. Scarlett has worked in the distribution realm since the market opened in 2018.
The Red House is a coworking space and business hub in Fort Bragg. Our concept is simple- working together is both cost-effective and inspiring. We are dedicated to supporting our local cannabis economy by providing specialized professional services and by holding space for inquiry, community, and collaboration.
Scarlett Trillia is the Founder of the Red House and a long-time contributor to Mendocino’s cannabis community. After saying “Bye” to the demands of the urban grind, Scarlett returned to her family roots in Mendo, worked on small farms and soon became involved in county advocacy for the emerging cannabis market. Her ‘new market’ cannabis work runs the gamut from product development to distribution logistics, inventory management and sales.
Rachel Clark has been helping clients transform their business and lives as an Business Coach for 16 years. Using the tools and principles of the EMyth coaching programs, has supported her in building her coaching organization, Synergy Business Coaching, where the focus is on working with small businesses. Her formal education in Marketing and Economics, and years of experience in Executive Recruiting has empowered her to work with clients who are ready to take their leadership and business to the next level.
