Lunch in Fort Bragg
One of the most common questions we get at the Red House is "Hey where can I grab a quick lunch around here?" That slow coastal town vibe is suddenly less charming when you are starving and you need something local, tasty, and now-ish. Here's a few of our favorites, chosen for deliciousness and speed of service. Plus a handy map, sorted into layers.
863 N Main St, Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Don't let the location fool you, this is some solid mediterranean food. Plus, they will have your order in your hands asap. Favorites: shawarma platter, cauliflower platter, dolmas, excellent baba ganoush. Call ahead 707-961-6123.
A local favorite, Sea Pal often has long lines, but they move pretty fast. Once your order is in you'll probably get your food in about 10 minutes. Favorites: the fish and chips are absolutely delicious. Burgers are grass fed beef, we like to add grilled onions and extra tomato. Call ahead 707-964-1300.
CASH ONLY - 220 E. Redwood Ave. Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Fast and friendly pizza place. They have individual slices between 11am and 3 pm so you can be in and out in 3 minutes. Favorites: Solid slices, but the meatball sub will always have a special place in our hearts. Call ahead (707) 964-9314
Jenny's Giant Burger
940 N Main St, Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Classic greasy and delicious burgers, milkshakes, and fries. The service is usually fast, and there's lots of parking. Favorites: A giant cheeseburger with everything, fries and a chocolate shake. Done. Call ahead 707-964-2235
171 Boatyard Dr, Fort Bragg, CA 95437
If you are on the south end of town and looking for a quick snack, Harvest has an unexpectedly good sushi selection at the deli counter. They also have a soup and salad bar.
Daily hot food bar
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: Comfort food,
Tuesday: Tacos and accompanying goodies
Wednesday: Indian (recommended)
Thursday: Chinese food
Mara's Coffee House
18200 North Highway 1, Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Near the Botanical Gardens on Hwy 1 is Mara's. They have drive-through service, or you can pop in for a sandwich, breakfast burrito, or pastry. For you coffee aficionados: they have Flying Goat coffee. Yum! Call ahead (707) 548-258
Asian Fusion-Sea Valley
301 N Main St, Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Located in the Company Store, Asian Fusion has (in our opinion) the best Thai food in town. Everything on the menu is delicious, but we particularly love their red curry, green curry, green papaya salad, drunken noodles, pad thai, and roti. They get totally slammed around peak lunch and dinner times, so consider calling ahead. (707) 200-4744
Off the Hook Sushi
118 E Redwood Ave. Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Honestly, it's not the most inspiring looking building, but this place is a solid sushi joint. They have a very large menu, with some truly delicious rolls. On the very simple end they have California rolls for $5, but if you want to go crazy, order the Lion King roll. You won't regret it. We hear their ramen is great too. Call ahead (707) 964-3188
THEY CLOSE AT 2PM - 326 N Main St. Fort Bragg, CA 95437
Despite the often long wait for brunch on a Saturday or Sunday, Eggheads is usually pretty relaxed on weekdays. If you are looking for something comforting and breakfasty, like pumpkin cream waffles, or decadent like a Dungeness crab omelette, look no further. Burgers, salads and a solid Reuben sandwich too. Lots to choose from. Call ahead (707) 964-5005

Oh man, you weren’t kidding about the Sea Pal. The fish and chips are excellent! I just went today (Monday), and it was pretty quiet for lunch. No lines.
